Zeno Hot Spot

What is Zeno Hot Spot?

zeno_hot_spotIn the fast-paced world that we live in, people are always looking for the easy fix. In the acne world things aren’t any different, and its understandable when you’re dealing with something as emotionally and physically scarring as acne that you would want a quick fix. But chances are that when you run into a product that promises to be a “miracle cure”, you’re about to pay a lot of money for a product with almost no chance of following through. Zeno Hot Spot appears to be just such a product that has it’s own unique way of dealing with acne. Instead of using tried-and-true acne fighting ingredients, Zeno Hot Spot simply uses heat to get rid of acne. All you have to do is hold the treatment tip up to the pimple for 2 1/2 minutes while a gentle heat kills the bacterias that cause breakouts. If you’re thinking this sounds too good to be true, so are we.

Does it work?

As previously stated, all that one needs to do to treat acne is hold the heating tip up to the pimple. This supposedly doesn’t burn the skin because it adjusts to your own skin’s temperature to emanate the proper heat. A clinical trial showed that this product cured 90% of blemishes in 24 hours. Of course, its all too easy for the manufacturers to get any results on a clinical trial that they want and the fact of the matter is that this product is not backed by nearly enough scientific evidence to prove its effectiveness.

Customer Reviews

When taking a look into any product its important to remember that there is no one product that works for everyone, so you will find mixed reviews for almost every product. That being said, this is one of the few products that seems to have a general consensus from almost all the reviewers: That this product doesn’t work. Many users find that the “gentle heat” isn’t very gentle at all and irritated their skin. The majority found that this product helped with some of the newer pimples, but just aggravated the older ones. Even though there were a few consumers that had some good things to say about Zeno Hot Spot, there was one thing that everybody could agree upon, which was the outrageous price. Anywhere from $35-$100 was spent on this product without anyone finding that it was worth it.

Conclusion

While it would be really nice to find a product that has a unique and miraculous cure to acne, sometimes its better to stick to something that works. The science behind Zeno Hot Spot just doesn’t seem to add up, and simply adding heat to your pimples sounds great in theory but we’d like to see a little more proof. Celebrity endorsements (if you count Whitney Port from The Hills a celebrity) don’t mean a product is effective and charging an arm and a leg doesn’t make it high quality. Trust us when we say this is one product you can afford skipping.
